Showing of “Maryland’s Horse” slated for Nov. 25
The Maryland Horse Library and Education Center will be hosting a showing and discussion of Maryland’s Horse on Monday, November 25 at 5pm.
The film was created in the 1960s and features scenes from some of the State’s most famous races – the Preakness, Washington D.C. International and John B. Campbell Handicap – along with footage of champions Native Dancer and Kelso at Maryland’s Thoroughbred farms.
Maryland’s Horse was authorized by the Maryland Racing Commission during the chairmanship of R. Bruce Livie and completed under the chairmanship of D. Eldred Rinehart. It is narrated by Galen Fromm, “the voice of Baltimore,” and race announcer Raymond Haight.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to register at the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/film-showing-marylands-horse-tickets-1047955843137?aff=pressrelease.
