Parx Racing will finish up 2024 with three stakes on New Year’s Eve, but Father Time and Baby New Year get short shrift. This is exclusively a Christmas-themed kinda day.

The three, all for older, are the $75,000 Kris Kringle at 1 1/16 miles, the $75,000 Blitzen at seven furlongs, and the $75,000 Mrs. Claus for fillies and mares at seven furlongs. All will be on a main track currently listed as muddy.

The Kris Kringle kicks things off and is the seventh race on a 10-race program. After scratches, it’s drawn a field of eight, and the 3-1 morning line favorite is Repo Rocks for trainer Jamie Ness and Double B Racing Stables. Ruben Silvera will ride the multiple graded stakes-winning Virginia-bred. With a win, Repo Rocks would zoom past the $1 million mark in career earnings…

In the Blitzen, the graded stakes-placed Nelson Avenue will seek his first stakes win as the 5-2 morning line favorite in a six-horse field after scratches. Jose Lezcano will ride for trainer Wayne Potts and owners Photos Finish LLC…

The Mrs. Claus has a contentious field of seven after scratches.
