7. Flamant | First-timer is a half to a minor stakes winner who won at first asking and by a sire who does well first out; don’t love a horse debuting at the bottom, but she doesn’t have to be a world-beater to contend |
5. Heavenly Lady | Willing effort when being hustled every step of the way in latest |
RACE 2
4. Zachamundo | First-timer is a full to nearly-$700k earner Yodel E. A. Who; trainer Runco is 23% with first-timers in special weight company |
7. Bonds Revenge | Willing debut after disastrous break cost him all shot; better break required and could put him in the winner’s circle |
1. Talented Lino | Third time trying to get in looks to be the charm; both sibs were easy winners on debut |
RACE 3
8. Park Ave Prince | Not quite quick enough in latest when buried inside as the fave; drawn outside the speed today, can use early foot to best advantage; best wins here |
3. Nay’s Only One | Picks up Latchman in the irons as regular pilto Bocachica off to NY to ride Coastal Mission in AQU stake; lightly raced sort finds lowest level yet |
5. Racing Hot Line | WIll look for stalk-and-pounce trip |
RACE 4
3. Antonacci Girl | Slow away and climbing a bit in the early going in debut but ran on well enough behind runaway winner |
8. Miss Menetes | Pretty disastrous opening furlong cost this one all shot, but she stuck with it |
4. Point Unlimited | Lasix on seems to have helped as this miss was a good second in latest |
RACE 5
7. Talented Lord | Lightly raced sort makes season bow off 70-ish day layoff (trainer Grams: 20% off similar breaks); pressed early by a longshot before Petty Perfect took over in latest, but being drawn outside today might let her eyeball the pace scenario and work out trip to best advantage |
1. What’shername | The most likely winner but concerned the odds may be unplayably short (she’s been beaten at odds-on three times); willing effort in latest when refusing to buckle to 1-5 fave Petty Perfect |
3. Ran Out of Trainer | Steady worktab for return to action features a bullet move 1/24; couple clunkers to end last season but best would put her in the mix |
RACE 6
2. Favorite Road | Can improve in second career outing after a willing inside try on debut when second to more experienced rival |
3. A Reason to Party | Inclined to give this one another shot after educational first outing |
4. Midnight Mesa | First-timer by Kentucky stallion Sky Mesa has a zippy work tab for a barn that can win first out |

4. Disputed Claim | Has faced better and makes third start off the bench at distance he’s won at; return to best puts him in the mix at an enticing price |
8. Masakado | Cross-entered at LRL today but likely to land here; trainer Farrior moving aggressively on this one after shaking allowance condition out of him |
5. Royal Pain | Sluggish break left him in the jackpot in latest as modest early tempo did closers no favors; has three prior one-two finishes at this level |
RACE 8
4. R Chello | Good try in latest when just failing to contain winner has been flattered as that runner now riding a three-race win streak |
