Two trainers and one jockey have achieved some separation from the fields in the win column during the current meet at Charles Town Races. But what does a deeper dive reveal?
Arnaldo Bocachica is in his accustomed spot at the head of the class among local jockeys, with 26 wins. That’s nine more than nearest pursuer Marshall Mendez. Among trainers, Anthony Farrior and Ronney Brown remain deadlocked with 17 wins apiece.

Magee is tops here, too, with a somewhat different cast of characters following behind… One interesting name is that of longtime local training kingpin Jeff Runco, who is 10th with 1.45 wins above expectations; Runco is fourth among local trainers by purse earnings, but his best runner, Coastal Mission, made only one local start last year and has made his only start to date this year out of town…
