Our Street Angel, named via WVBC contest, to make debut

A filly named by the public through the 2023 West Virginia Breeders Classics’ “Name That Foal” contest is set to make her career debut on Thursday, February 27, at Charles Town Races.

Our Street Angel will compete in a $27,800 maiden special weight race at 4 ½ furlongs, scheduled as the seventh race of the evening. The race has drawn a field of 10 West Virginia-bred sophomore fillies.

Bred by Tim and Judy Grams, the filly is by Street Boss out of Rocky’s Angel, by Rock Slide. She is a half-sister to six winners, including Rock n’ Gold, who earned over $200,000. Trained by Tim Grams for the couple’s Grams Racing Stable, she has been training steadily at Charles Town since late December. Larry Reynolds will ride.

The race is expected to be highly competitive, with a wide-open field on paper. Post time for the evening’s first race is 7:00 p.m., with the filly’s debut scheduled for 9:49 p.m.
