Jaime Rodriguez has seized control of the Laurel Park winter meet jockey standings, while the husband-and-wife duo of jockey Sheldon Russell and trainer Brittany Russell are posting stellar stats of their own.

Rodriguez has 21 wins at the meet, seven more than Sheldon Russell and JG Torrealba, who are tied for second. Sheldon Russell is winning at nearly a 36% clip (14-for-39), while Brittany Russell is doing even a bit better, at 39% (16-for-41).

At some point, Brittany Russell will probably cool off a bit, but it wasn’t last week, as she won three times on Sunday and four times from seven starters overall to move into first all by herself, with Jamie Ness three back… Gary Capuano moved into the top 10 with four wins after a week in which he sent out six runners and all six finished in the money, including two winners…
