Jockey Jaime Rodriguez continued to widen his lead in the jockey standings this past weekend at Laurel Park, while trainer Jamie Ness enjoyed a productive weekend to tighten up the trainer standings.

Rodriguez won with five of 15 starters during the racing weekend to widen his advantage over nearest pursuers JG Torrealba and Sheldon Russell… Russell has a gaudy strike rate of over 34%, highest among riders to have made at least 10 starts… Raul Mena won with four of 10 starters over the weekend to move into fourth… Tais Lyapustina won three times over the weekend to crack the top 10… Three riders have made 10 or more starts and are winless…

JOCKEY TOP 10 PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

Sheldon Russell and Forest Boyce flip-flopped the top two spots from last week, with Russell finishing in the money in four of five local starts to take the lead in percentage of purse earned… Alexander Crispin is new to the top 10… Nine riders with at least 10 starts have taken in less than 8% of available purse money…
