Laurel Park was in action for three days of live racing this past weekend, and we’re crunching the numbers on jockey and trainer stats: wins, percentage of purse earned, added wins.

Here are the numbers:

JOCKEY TOP 10 WINS

Jaime Rodriguez won with five of 15 starters last week to finish the winter meet with a flourish and a 17-win advantage over runner-up JG Torrealba… Angel Cruz went 3-for-7… Sheldon Russell had the highest win percentage, over 32%, among the win leaders… Two riders were winless with 10 or more starts…

JOCKEY TOP 10 PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

Forest Boyce and Sheldon Russell both went 1-for-5 last week, allowing Boyce to — very narrowly — hold on to the lead in percentage of purse earned… The only newcomer to the top 10 is Ismerio Villalobos, who had a somewhat unusual last weekend; he went 0-for-9 but finished second seven times and third once…

JOCKEY TOP 10 BY ADDED WINS

Raul Mena went 2-for-2 at Laurel last weekend to conclude a productive meet as the leader in added wins, comparing a jockey’s actual wins to the number that the odds of his or her mounts would have predicted… Forest Boyce (1-for-5 last week) and Tais Lyapustina (1-for-2) round ot the top three and are well ahead of the rest… Jose Vega was the only newcomer in the top 10… The range of all riders is 6.77 to (-7.15)…

TRAINERS TOP 10 BY WINS

Jamie Ness finished strong, going 5-for-12 last weekend, to secure the wins title among trainers by four over Brittany Russell, who went 2-for-4 to finish up a 40% meet… Robbie Bailes and Linda Albert each won three races during the week, giving the former six wins and the latter five, which tied her with four others for the 10th spot… Eight trainers sent out at least seven starters and did not record a win at the meet…

TRAINERS TOP 10 BY PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

Henry Walters, whose two wins during the meet were both stakes wins by Barbadian Runner, concluded the meet as the narrow leader in percentage of purse earned, narrowly besting Kerry Hohlbein, who posted a win during the final weekend… Brittany Russell was the highest-rated in this category among the wins leaders, taking in over 26% of available purse moneys… Four trainers were under 5%…

TRAINER TOP 10 BY ADDED WINS

Michael Gorham, who went 1-for-2 in the final weekend, finished up the meet atop the added wins category, comparing a trainer’s actual wins to what the odds of his or her runners would have predicted…Newcomers to this final list are Mario Serey, Linda Albert, and Sam Davis… The range of all trainers is 4.86 to (-3.32)…
