We break it down: total wins, percentage of purse money earned, added wins, and, new this week, wins in most recent 50 starts (jockeys) or 25 starts (trainers).

The numbers:

JOCKEY TOP 10 WINS

Arnaldo Bocachica went 6-for-15 during the just-completed racing week to extend his wins lead, while Justin Lewis won three times from 11 starters… No other rider won more than twice… Christian Maldonado won twice during the week and picked up a third win when Chico Charlie, second in a March 21 race, was elevated to first after winner Over and Thunder was DQed because of a medication violation… Four riders are winless with 20 or more starts…

JOCKEY TOP 10 PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

Bocachica continues to pad his lead in percentage of purse earned, while Carlos Lopez, 0-for-2 this week, remains in second… The top 10 this week in percentage of purse earned are identical to last week’s, though the order is somewhat shuffled…

JOCKEY TOP 10 BY ADDED WINS

Victor Rodriguez went 2-for-9 during the week and increased his lead in added wins, comparing a jockey’s actual wins to what the odds of his or her mounts would have predicted… He’s followed by Angel Cruz and Maximo Chilo… Christian Maldonado and Justin Lewis are newcomers to the top 10 this week… The full range is 6.95 to (-10.21)…

JOCKEY TOP 10 BY WINS IN THEIR LAST 50 STARTS

This simply looks at the number of wins each jockey has posted in his or her last 50 starts… 25 riders qualify, having made at least 50 starts at the meet…

TRAINERS TOP 10 BY WINS

Anthony Farrior went 5-for-12 last week to close in on meet leader Ronney Brown, who won once and picked up a second win when his trainee Chico Charlie was elevated to first after the DQ of Over and Thunder for a medication violation March 21… Jeff Runco was 2-for-5, Anthony Rideoutt was 2-for-2, and Anthony Lucas was 2-for-7 during the week… 31 trainers are winless and have made seven or more starts at the meet…

TRAINERS TOP 10 BY PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

Kieron Magee made no starts, while Joan Reynolds and Kristy Gazzier both won once, as those three remain the top three by percentage of purse earned… Gazzier, Jeff Runco, and Anthony Farrior are the only trainers in the top 10 by wins to also be in it by percentage of purse earned… Last week’s top 10 remains this week’s top 10… 24 trainers have pulled in less than five percent of available purse money…

TRAINER TOP 10 BY ADDED WINS

Jeff Runco and Ronney Brown remain the clear leaders in added wins, comparing a trainer’s actual wins to the number that the odds of his or her starters would have predicted… Ron Sigler (1-for-3 last week) and Michael Sandoval (1-for-2) are new to the top 10 this week… The range of all trainers is 8.06 to (-5.38)…

TRAINER TOP 10 BY WINS IN THEIR LAST 25 STARTS

This simply looks at the number of wins each trainer has posted in his or her last 25 starts… 25 trainers have made at least 25 starts at the meet…
