Stakes winner Lewisfield back in action Saturday

Maryland-bred Lewisfield, a multiple stakes winner, is set to make his first start since December in a Saturday allowance at Laurel Park.

Jockey Victor Carrasco, a fixture in Maryland, has decamped to Monmouth Park for the summer in search of new challenges and opportunities.

Delaware Park will join NYRA in an all-graded stakes Pick 5 Saturday featuring the Delaware Oaks, Kent Stakes, and three New York races.

Fans and bettors will be permitted to attend the races at Parx Racing — with restrictions — starting Monday, July 6, the local horsemen’s group says.

Oaklawn stakes winner Piece of My Heart is a slight morning line favorite for Saturday’s G3 Delaware Oaks, which this year is a Kentucky Oaks prep.
