Thank you for participating in the 2020 Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred/The Racing Biz Top Midlantic-bred Poll.
In your choices, please choose those horses that you believe have accomplished the most during the current calendar year. We understand that there may be (or you may believe there is) a better horse that is expected to return to racing later in the season. However, we ask that you restrict your choices to those horses that have raced. You must fill in five older horses and five three-year-olds.
The one exception to that is your “Wildcard Selection.” You may — but do not have to — enter one horse in the Wildcard Selection category. That horse need not have raced during this calendar year but must be expected to return to racing during the year. It need not be a horse you consider best in its division, merely one that you would have included on your list of five had you been allowed to.
During the year, as we did last year, we will do the poll approximately monthly. We will send each voter a list of the Midlantic-breds that have won or placed in stakes to help guide your selection.
The choice by the group of Top Midlantic-bred for 2019 was Sharing. Prior to Sharing were Shamrock Rose (2018) and Stellar Wind (2017).
